>The Austrian Automobile Club (VCÖ) has put out a little study claiming that, in Austria, the higher your academic education, the less likely you are to drive to your job. Meaning, vo-tech grads with blue-collar jobs drive, while academics cycle. So it’s only logical that we with masters degrees walk to work.

    >:-)Btw. The VCÖ ist Austrian Verkehrsclub. I think they wouldn´t like to be named Automobile-Club like the ÖAMTC or the ARBÖ, altough they also offer packages for Automobilists. The VCÖ is especially a Club for People who often walk, cicle, go by train etc, but seldom drive their car…

    >You know, I specifically looked this up to translate it properly, and that is what turned up; in a De-En Lexicon forum, it was likened to the Auto clubs in America, although you are right, they are wrong!Thank you for the correction. 🙂 I still have no clear translation, however. Austrian Transportation Club? Sounds odd.
