>This is a gorge at the very edge of the much larger Karwendel National Park, just above Zirl, west of Innsbruck. The beau took all of these pictures — while I’m pointing my camera at larger things, he notices the little details on the way, and comes home with some very interesting photos.

Here and there are remnants of older wooden bridges, scraps of iron and railroad ties from work on the Mittenwaldbahn (opened in 1912) and a dam upstream (which has since broken away.)
